Randy and Zen need to get control of David! He is just pissing everyone off. Its no wonder the whole world is going to pot.

You said Pot on a VW website, you need to be more specific...
David might think your refering to the "good ole' Days"
You know he was at Weedstock.
KC

He was at Weedstock? Pics or it didn't happen!
Maybe so, maybe not. I don't have to prove it. Its a good thing you were not around then because I don't think you could have handle it. I think there some people there that were never seen or heard from again.

3 hours of searching . . . I found one expired link to an eBay auction for a Maytag butter churn attachment.  Came up empty on Craigslist using SearchTempest.com to search all cities within a 750 mile radius of LaFayette.

I did find a couple of Maytag engines at resonable prices on eBay.  One was twin cylinder with a high bid of $103 . . . with a day and 19 hours left.  $45 shipping.  Turns over, has good compression, but no spark.  It's on my watch list.  If it doesn't get too crazy (which it probably will) I might just end up owning it.   ;D  I like the looks of it . . . can't quite figure out where, but it kind'a reminds me of another engine I've seen somewhere . . .  ???    ;D

I've got some out of date jelly beans Liv got last Halloween . . .

More than $103.  The nice thing about that engine is that appears to be Complete from what I can see. The coils were the main trouble but they can be had. The original color was semi-gloss black for the twin and a med green for the single.  A lot of the Guys would use the twin to pull a squirrel cage fan from a old oil furnace to stay cool at Engine shows. They pretty quite with lawn mower mufflers.

KC, put down the JellyBellys and listen!  ;D  It doesn't sit on top of the churn.  The engine (or electric motor) that drives the washing machine mounts under the machine.  The wringer drive is what is used to run the ice cream churn, butter churn, meat grinder, etc.  You take the wringer off and mount the attachment in it's place.

Another neat thing I've found looking for the attachments is a long flex tube that bolted on the exhaust . . . I had only seen these things used outside, but with the tube on the exhaust, you could run 'em indoors and pipe the exhaust out the window.  I think I'd opt for a good muffler and run 'em outdoors.

Remember when house's had back porches ? This where the washer lived when powered by the gas engine. Most of the gas powered washers were used in the rural setting where electric power was not available. A old friend of mine grew up on a farm way down on Sand Mtn. He and his Brother's job was to keep the Maytag in running shape to keep Mama happy. It also got him and his brother out of doing farm work and tote'n water for the wash tub on Sat. He told me that they had to work on the washer all the time. I wonder why ? ;D ;D ;D
