Fat Mo's No Shows

« on: December 18, 2004, 07:47:58 PM »
I pulled into Fat Mo's parking lot around 6:55pm.
I thought the Cruise-in/Gathering was at 7:00pm.
I turned off the engine at 7:15pm.  Got cold around 7:16pm.
Eric and Shasta showed up around 7:17pm.
Talia and I walked insided at 7:20pm. right before Moose and Kelsey arrived around 7:21pm.
We waited for a few minutes, ordered our food, then ate.  Left around 9:00pm.
Hey, you should have come...it was "free" dessert night!

I worked too many hours last week.  The only thing I was in the mood for Friday night was some sleep.  I'm rested up now . . . I'll be ready to party tomorrow night!   \:D/

Yup, I didn't even think about the Fri. meeting with the Mon. meeting. Guess that was just too much for my wee brain to accomodate. I have a proposal though. Would it be possible to schedule next year's Dec. meetings somewhere AWAY from the Hamilton Place area, or is it just tradition and I need to deal with it?

Well, this time last year we were meeting at Wally's in East Ridge, so it's nothing we're married to.
I spent yesterday running the Hamilton Place 500 in the van.  It's a real exercise in patience, for sure!  I got honked at twice.  Once by a guy three car lengths behind me for daring to venture towards his lane at a snail's pace to maneuver around the back of a car who's hiney was still in the intersection.  The second time as I was backing (for the first time) into a parking space which kept a guy from creeping maybe 20 feet forward in the permiter road around the mall parking lot.  Excuuuuuuse me!
On the other hand, There were others who were happy to help let a new driver of a big-ass vehicle have some room to move, so a new Phaeton under the tree for them, and a stocking full of coal to the jerks!

This is a bit off subject, but the jerks comment reminded me. My little brother informed me the other day what a jerk is. I had  called a rude driver a jerk and my brother claimed to be a jerk. According to a 10-yr-old, a jerk is a junior educated rich kid! HA! I told him he had the J and the K right, but I didn't see how he figured the the E and R. By the time he's E and R, he won't be K anymore. I just thought I'd share that. Strange how kids think.
And yes, some of the drivers out there right now are awful. I almost got plowed by a brand new Jag the other day. I guess for some folks a $70k car is expendable in the sake of road rage. Strange how some adults think.  :-k
