I've got one.  It's not a VW engine stand, but it should work fine . . . it's one of those cheap Harbor Freight universal engine stands on wheels.  It has been sitting in the back yard for nearly a year since I bought it.  It's weathered, but I've never used it.  Somebody ought to get some use out of it before it rust away!    If you want to borrow it, come get it . . . or I might be able to bring it to the meeting next week if you don't need it before then.

If you think that's funny, I also bought a cherry picker to pull the engine that I was going to put on the stand.

I have used the cherry picker a couple of times, just not for pulling an engine . . . yet.  I intended to use this stuff to pull and rebuild the engine in my mother-in-law's Mitsubishi Expo, but I ended up getting Kyle to help me and we replaced the head gasket with engine in the car.

  . . .  This is the first time I've looked at the forum since Sunday morning.  I don't have internet access at my cabin.  I don't even have WATER there!  Sorry I forgot about you.

I can throw it on the back of my truck if you can run down to Chickamauga and pick it up tomorrow.

Fred, I don't know what happened to my phone last night . . . it would ring and connect, but I couldn't hear anything.  I called Joy's phone and I could hear her but she couldn't hear me.  It was still like that this morning, but then it started working again this afternoon.  :?   Anyway, I took it to work with me this morning but it was still there this afternoon, so I figured you found another one.
