Dustin' It Off

« on: March 12, 2007, 10:17:49 PM »
Today was a beautiful day, a high of 62. I had the itch and uncovered the 911 and took it for a quick spin around a couple of blocks. I parked it and broke out my '57 Dub and took her for a quick spin too. Nothin' like a little motivation and moral booster after a long winter, unlike you folks down there. You get to drive yours year round.
Ordered some brake parts from CIP1 and they'll probably be in when it's back down to a high of 33 for Friday. That's alright, I'll be ready when it's time for the long haul down to the Bug-a-Paluza!!

You don't have to be jealous Randy. T'aint no Bluegrass being played, t'aint no Kudzu growing through the walls and I bet that 911 is made of cardboard just to cover up the Fiat 500. He can't fool us.

Dang, I thought I had you fooled.......it is a nice Fiat 500 though,  but for some reason it runs like a Porsche. Also there is a drip tray that you don't see. It catchs the small amounts of oil that drip from the Dub. Actually, the Porsche drips worst.

Ok Joe,  Kudzu is a prostrate Asiatic leguminous vine used for forage and erosion control and if the growing rate is not control'd has been known to engulf entire cities. Sort of like English ivy on steroids. If you park your Bug on a good patch of Kudzu ,in two days you will not be able to ever find it again. This stuff will grow on pavement.  Get this, The city of Chattanooga rented a herd of Goats to eat the Kudzu off the top of a tunnel  on a main drag here because the stuff was starting to take over the entrance. It worked and was cost effective do to the Goats being non-union. See there, you learned something new today

The fact that the goats were used on the tunnel by my house really helps support the other thread with the East Ridge song I think.
Oh and good use of big words Godfather,I bet that took alot out of you, hope you recover from that onslaught of vocabulary madness.
