Hey ! Are you sure the Dune Buggy Handbook by James Hale is $34.95 ?
I just check Amazon.com and they have them new and used starting at $80.00 on up . What kind of deal is this?  Who did you say had them?

David let me find it them email.Yes it was 30 something on the site. The internet is so wacky. You can go one place then to another and the price has doubled. If you don't really shop on here someone will steal you blind in a split second. It's easier to take your money when you don't have to stare someone in the face. That's pitiful our world is like that. It's not so much that people on this earth are really that more intelligent than the other. It's just that the other people can't handle money and the   other side of it is the real rich people don't care. The well off people will just go back the next day and make it off the people that can't handle it lol.I will go find it and email it to you.The book is kind of like this.Love to take a look but hate to buy.Ok I'm gone.

Russ I was hoping it was a hard back.Well guess the paperback is 10 dollars cheaper.I really would like to have it.Think it would be interesting to see all the manufactors with pictures. There use to be a allison manufacturing plant down here I think over on candler hwy. They are some thick well made bodies for sure.Like I said I had one.A 250 pound man could stand on top and walk all the way around it not fearing that it would crack or   break off the fenders.

Made in GA also ? Didn't know about that. I wonder when and how long they were made there? I know that in '69-'70  two of my mech. friends at Southland VW Inc. here in Chatt. had to go to Daytona to get theirs. Interesting.

I don't know if any are in Daytona. I did find out today that Allison went out of business in 78-79 and the molds were cut up  sometime later. I also found out that my Allison was in one of the last batches of flare fender, long hood, short wheel base models made. Most of the flare fender models were on standard lenght pans. Still don't know exactly  when mine was made. I have the body# . Maybe someday somebody will come up with some body  # info.

Well I have looked through this book well. There are 60 vw makes in here with a picture of each.I'm going to get into the reading of it soon.Just have been too busy to look so far.Well I should have kept the one I had.The body part of it was like new.It was a two tone brown. The body was tan metalflake with the stripes being medium brown.Had bucket seat's in the back.Hind site is 20/20  I still enjoyed fixing mine up I have now. Had three dunebuggies one was the Allison)the other ones I couldn't get what I wanted done right.By the time I got around to the allison project I had used up all funding at the time.I saw one of them for sale in Toccoa at the show year before last.It looked worse than when I gave up on it lol.
