Double Cab

« on: May 17, 2006, 01:16:17 AM »
I just Saw Herbs Double cab pics in the Gallery. Holy &^$$,that is bad!
Were gonna have to have a talk here. I remeber somebody sayin ya'll don't Hotrod engines? Them there look like dual dells Herb."We don't do alot of custom stuff."That's some pretty fancy diamond plate not to mention pretty purple paint,I don't think that was a factory color.
Anyways the cab is nice, do some crazy interior in it  and add a nice custom stereo, nothing too big but nice.

Double Cab

It will be custom, Scott, but nothing I'm doing will be irreversable back to bone stock. The bed floor was in real bad shape (not rusted thru just beat up real bad) and that's the reason for the diamond plate. The guy who did the body work didn't do as good a job as I hoped he would and there will have to be some more done but it has come a long way from what it was when I bought it. The split window bus is getting closer and closer to being back on the road and the '78 in the shop will come next then the double cab. I will, however, be doing some to the double cab this summer.

The engine is a 1915 in an aluminum case and yes, those are dells. We balanced the engine and it is a sweet runner. I don't think I will have any trouble out of it as long as I can keep the front wheels on the ground.
