Damn Thieves!!! In an orange VW Bus

« on: July 19, 2006, 03:44:10 PM »
Our neighbor, about a quarter of a mile up the road from us toward Cleveland, has a little fruit and vegetable stand in front of his house and it's ran on the honor system. A couple of days ago (I just found out about it this morning) an orange VW bus stopped at the stand and the owner started out there and the bus took off toward our house. The cash box had been lifted and the owner figures around $75 was taken. Money is not an issue with this gentleman, it's just the principle of the thing. I guess the worst part of the whole story is the fact that the damn thieves were driving an orange VW bus. I haven't had a chance to talk to the neighbor to see if he got any kind of description other than the bus. I haven't seen this vehicle anywhere around here before so maybe they were just "passing thru". I hope so. They should hope they were just passing thru.

Chances are the bus was stolen as well!   :-x  I can't think of anyone around here with an orange bus . . . I know I've seen a few, but I don't know who owns them or where they reside.  Let's all keep our eyes opened and try to find this scumbag!
