If I recall, Mike didn't like the looks of the chop top look. I would agree that the one above looks 'ratty' but Mike's looks like more of a well thought out build. Just depends on which part of rat rod you focus on! Looks like you might have found rats in that one!

If I were making a rat rod I'm not sure I would pick a split oval!

I bet that thing hauls!  That's a Corvair 140hp 6cyl. power plant with a "spider" intake and a single carb :o....good for top end speed 8).  Looks like their at some salt flats somewhere too.  Cool mixture of stuff on that one

I've seen this car on other sites before. It was built for speed on the salt flats. I don't think I could even get in this one!
