Cool campsites

Bitten by VW bug I guess...  After the recent purchase of my 71 Ghia convertible (a working progress), I just got a 97 Eurovan Camper (by Winnebago).  Cool car!   It is in very good shape for her age and ready to embark in some cool trips.  Any suggestions on campsites around Chattanooga for the RV rookie?  Thanks

Cloudland Canyon on Lookout Mtn. is only a thirty minute drive from Chattanooga and the club went camping last fall at Sloppy Floyd Campground down in Georgia and also a short drive from Chattanooga.

Thanks Bugz--will have to check it out.  Are there electricity/water hook ups at this campsite?

There are hook ups at Sloppy Floyd State Park and I think there are hook ups at Cloudland Canyonl

What ever you do, since you will be in a Volkswagen, DON'T go to Chillhowee Campground up on the mountain from Parksville Lake (Ocoee). There is a ranger there who doesn't like Volkswagen people.

Desoto State Park, just down the road near Ft. Payne, Alabama is a nice place.  Hookups?  I would think so.  You could find out on the web for sure.

:D Check out Fort Mountain close to Chatsworth. It is a great place. Here is a link for it. You can use the drop down menu at the top and search all the Georgia State Parks. Hope this helps!!!
