College Student Looking For A Shop

« on: July 09, 2010, 09:04:30 AM »
I'm currently in college, and don't have the time for a regular job, but I'd like to know if any of you VW shop owners would like to take me as an apprentice type deal, even if there's no pay. I love VW's, especially aircooled, and I have a basic working knowledge of how they work, but I want to know enough to where when something goes wrong, I can fix it and not have to ask someone else to. Anyone interested? I have transportation, and as the people at the Moe's Wednesday gathering know, I will do whatever it takes to show up, even if it's sell plasma or walk.

Any bites?  ;D

You can come by our shop although, I'm no expert at anything. :D  The biggest problem you will run into is insurance.  I don't know any place that can have non-employees in the shop without trouble.  There are ways around some of that I think, but we would need to look into it further.  We usually have a air cooled VW or two around, and many times they are bay window buses.  You must be able to stand bad words flying around for no apparent reason, and really bad words when there is! ;D ;D  You also need to be ready to spend a great deal of time in a very HOT and loud environment.  If your still interested, come on by and meet Michelle and I.

Awesome! I'll definitely be there asap. Gotta get my bike or my Buick patched up but I'll be there. Thanks!
