I don't have the judging book, so I can't send anyone their score right now, but I will get your scores and email them to you if you want me to. However, just looking at your scores won't tell you a whole lot without compairing them to the other cars.
Here's what we do . . . we have a maximium of 100 points. The 100 points are broken down into four 20 point catagories and two 10 point catagories. We give 1 to 20 points on Engine, Interior, Paint and Body, and Detailing and Display. We give 1 to 10 points on Undercarriage and, for lack of a better term, Brightwork. Brightwork includes all the chrome, stainless, and/or aluminum trim, plus the wheels and tires, glass, lenses, and rubber.
Each judge has a catagory and judges the quality and workmanship of his/ her catagory. We stress to our judges to leave their personal taste out of it . . . it doesn't matter much the judge likes or dislikes the car overall, he/she is only judging the quality and workmanship in his catagory. The top score in the catagory (either a 20 or 10) means the judge could not find ANY defects in that catagory. An average car would get a mid level score (either 10 or 5) . . . a 1 would mean the car couldn't get much worse in that catagory.
The exception to the rule is Detailing and Display . . . that judge gives a score based on the overall car . . . how clean it is, how well it is displayed, etc.
It's by no means an exact science and it's far from a perfect system . . . in fact, in the end, it really is just an opinion. But it's not just one person's opinion, and we try make it as unbiased as possible.
