Bug-A-Paluza Trivia Questions

« on: August 24, 2012, 10:28:09 PM »
The bus below has been at every Bug-A-Paluza since #4 (when this picture was taken).

Question 1: What two other colors it has been painted since the picture was made?

Question 2: Where is the Westy interior that came out of this bus?

Question 3: Can you name more than one previous owner?

Question 4: Who was the last person to work on the brakes on this bus?

Question 1: What two other colors it has been painted since the picture was made?
tan and Philmore blue  Correct!

Question 2: Where is the Westy interior that came out of this bus?
in homer!  Correct!

Question 3: Can you name more than one previous owner?
zen and... Someone else  X (But I'll give you half credit since I did own it)

Question 4: Who was the last person to work on the brakes on this bus?
well, since I think Zen owned it, I'd have to say... William!  X  (The brakes worked fine when I got it, and finally gave out a couple of years ago . . . to answer this question, you have to know who owned it previous to Stewart Neil, a former club member that I bought it from)

So, Nick scored 62.5%.  Can anybody top that?  I know there is one person on here that KNOWS "the rest of the story."   ;D

I'd have to say Stewart Neil for at least one other previous owner then!

Here's another picture of it after it became the Shower Bus, but before it was given its current "Fillmore" treatment.

For a bonus cookie, can you name who owned it before Stewart?  Can't believe he hasn't chimed in . . . he's a regular on these forums.   ;D

I honestly have no idea. But I could tell you who owned the Chalk-a-Bug before it was donated to the club.

Here's a hint:  Stewart lived in Noble (just north of LaFayette).  He bought it from a guy that lived on Signal Mt.  The guy he bought it from ended up moving within a few miles of Stewarts house a few years later.  He has moved again since then.

Nick gets the cookie!   ;D  SC sold it to Stewart.  Stewart drove it home with a bungie cord holding the shifter in 4th gear, pulled the engine out for another project, and then sold it to me.  I bought it for the interior.  I gave some rail buggie guys the transmission to move it for me.  I pulled the interior out of it and put in Homer and Kyle drug it to Camp Jordan for the kids to paint on at BP-4.  After the show, Kyle drug it over to his place.  We were talking at a planning meeting about the lack of showers at Camp Jordan and I made a comment (joking) that we could build one in that old westie of mine over at Kyles.  Kyle didn't know I was joking . . . and the rest is history!
