BP13 Info Needed

« on: May 31, 2011, 05:29:33 PM »
I need a couple of details to help Mr. Simurda with the BP13 article for Hot VWs. First, does anyone have a photo of Paul Thorp's (or is it Torp?) pink beetle that won Best of Show?

Second, what was the name of the guy who won the giveaway engine? And also who was involved with building it? I know Nick and William worked on it, but please list anyone else who gave a hand in its creation, including any sponsors who donated parts.

Thanks!

$hitty Mcfag won the motor... I think his real name was Sean but I can't remember his name. William and I built it. Mainly Foreign Auto Parts, Tri-State Imports and American Foreign all gave new parts. The Ricks gave lots of used parts. The auto-cycle powder coaters did the tin work flat black.  VHR painted it. We also did the 50/50 to help the bolings.

Mike might have written down the guys name but I don't know. It's going in a woods buggy though...

That's the one. Do you mind if I send it to him to put in Hot VWs? Thanks for all the info.

The engine or best of show? I don't know about best of show; didn't meet him. The guy that won the engine wasn't what I'd call a tool... but whoever his friend was that he gave $5 to go buy him a ticket was!

The guy that won it gave a "friend" $5 to get him a ticket.  The "friend" didn't know how to spell the guy's last name, so he wrote down "$hitty Mcfag" on the stub that went in the drawing.  Luckily, they have numbers on them too . . .  ;D

Tool:
1) One who lacks the mental capacity to know he is being used. A fool. A cretin. Characterized by low intelligence and/or self-steem.

2) A person, typically male, who says or does things that cause you to give them a 'what-are-you-even-doing-here' look. The 'what-are-you-even-doing-here' look is classified by a glare in the tool's direction and is usually accompanied by muttering of how big of a tool they are. The tool is usually someone who is unwelcome but no one has the balls to tell them to get lost. The tool is alwasys making comments that are out-of-place, out-of-line or just plain stupid. The tool is always trying too hard to fit in, and because of this, never will. However, the tool is useful because you can use them for things; money, rides, ect.

Does that make sense to the old tool??
