I'm a newbie here and just wanted to say hi to everybody!!
My name is Frank and I'm been into VWs since I can remember. My first car at age 15 was a '58 Beetle with semaphores. A couple of years later I got a all original '59 ragtop. After that one I got a hold of a '64 11 window bus and so on! Now I have a '81 aircooled Vanagon with 74,000 original miles. I got it from the original owner with only 60k miles. he respray it to match his motorhome. he used to tow it everywhere in the country so over 30k miles out of the 60k were towing miles. Since I got it I park my F150 on my driveway and made my Vanagon my daily driver. I love driving it to work and everywhere I can. I also have a convertible '55 Beetle (US Model) that enjoy taking it out for a drive every chance I get. I take it to shows, VW hang outs, cruises or just down PCH on the weekends. I also just got a '55 hardtop Beetle that is all a part and I'm thinking on restoring it soon.
