Well, I wouldn't call it a classic, but the green 84 Rabbit diesel I drove in high school survived everything a mechanically ignorant teenager could throw at it. Off-roading, running nearly dry of oil, pizza delivery in Gatlinburg, dirt roads in Oklahoma, running out of anti-freeze, you name it! All with 100K miles plus, 40+MPG with a four speed, and 47 nosebleed-inducing horsepower. Many fond memories of that one! Had to get a cassette adaptor for the 8-track deck it came with. I still have the deck and it still works. It had a habit of throwing hubcaps, so we screwed them on. Held my whole drumset and a passenger. I could go on! My friends named it "THE Green Rabbit". It was a dark forrest green, which was pretty and unusual.
