I had a CEL (for those used to the simple VWs, thats a check engine light) come on in my truck and after checking the codes and searching my records, there was a recall for the fuel sending unit/pump/6 other things in one. So I had to make an appointment to drop off my "reliable" vehicle" to get it fixed under warranty. Megan goes to work before I ever wake up, so there wan't really an option to hitch a ride to work. So I took care of it myself and towed Bonnie over to the dealership this morning, unhooked the tow bar, dropped the truck off and took my actual reliable vehicle to work today. I plan on swinging back by and picking up the truck, towing Bonnie home and easy-cheesy. No worries having to get someone to pick me up or get a ride or get a loaner car.
I've also used it when Megan was meeting up with friends to head out of town and didn't want to leave a car in the parking lot where they met. So I put a hitch on her SUV before she left and went to pick up her car in Bonnie after work.
Anyone else use their bug and tow bar combo a lot? Its one of my most favorite things about Bonnie
