This "Lil Buggar" looks a lot like Anthony's bug camper he used to have. Only this one is for sale on The Samba for $12,500 :o

I think that is the exact same one. His said Gene bug on the front and had thr more modern seats. I know he just sold it and it has been long enough for someone to spit shine the front up and put a yellow stripe on the camper part. Pretty sure his had the same dent by the engine. Looks pretty good. Hope it stays somewhat locally.

Awwwww...that's Gene, all right! Note the BP 13 magnet on the dash (covering a scruffy spot).

I'd have kept it blue myself, but he's nice and shiny now! Of course, it's only that coat of paint and seats away from being the one that wouldn't sell for $3500 on thesamba a few years ago, so don't know about the $12,500. It's a very limited market, as I found out. Everybody loves to see it. Actually owning it, however...
Hope it goes to a good home with someone who will finish him up!
If that person is reading now and has any questions for the guy who dug him out of his Texas barn, post here!
