Ah, yes David... you may officially now use the line and say "I told you so"...

Wish i woke up sooner, but no better time than the present to make the necessary changes.   ;)

Thats OK my friend. Better at 30 than 65 . I think you beat your self up at 30 more than I did at 65. How did that happen?  Enjoy your family and work on your own "stuff"when YOU want to and maybe your hair will grow back ;D ;D.  You will be required to report to me once every week. ;)

Yeah.  I think that the fact that i went nearly three years with no running air-cooled pile of my own is a testament to time needing to be spent elsewhere, if only for a little bit at a time.

As for the hair, I have come to like the shaved head bit, at least i don't have to worry about asking "Does my hair look o.k.?" before going out somewhere.   ;)

I wonder sometimes.  Linda's brother had a head full of hair and started shaving his head for about 5 years until he decided to let it grow back. It never did for the rest of his life.  What kind of deal was that ?

My old man does hair transplants if you want to move what you have left to where you used to have it!

Which one sounds better:  "does my hair look ok?"  or "Do I need to use more Johnson Wax ?"  :-\

I know but you have to use Polident(?) to keep it from sliding off. ;D

I'm usually O.K. with it, but sometimes i miss the protection hair had to offer.  This morning i was working under a Subaru on my lift, and i proceeded to touch the top of my freshly shaved head to the hot exhaust.  Ouch.   :-[

And, I don't wear too many ball caps so i can't vouch for those, but in the winter i do frequently use a toboggan, and they do tend to keep sliding upward after shaving. But, If I haven't shaved for a couple of days, it works kinda like velcro.   ;)

I am in a losing battle with my hair as well. Slowly but surely they forehead keeps growing. I have never been terribly self conscious about it, but I don't like the idea of hitting a bald head under a car or something. I am seriously considering the transplant stuff to regain my forehead. I look at it as a retreat, regroup and re attack.

Technology has really come a long way in this department. Used to be you could spot plugs from a mile away (big chevron of baby doll like plugs) Then they went to the super rigorous cut a strip out, slice it up and reinsert each individual hair. Now they have an automated machine that will spin a circular blade and "core" out each individual hair. The 1mm holes close up without a scar and then the hair is implanted on the crown or forehead with a foot pedal activated syringe thing. Its really impressive to see what all can be done. The machine my old man has is a NeoGraft and its pretty impressive. You can see some youtube videos of them in action.

Nick, Don't worry about losing a little hair.  Think of it as just gaining face. ::)

I was wondering how long it would take till you came to this decision. Youve been saying this for the last 2 years at least. It was the DC that broke you wasnt it? Sorry big guy...I warned ya. ;D
Do yourself a favor and finish YOUR own stuff and enjoy them with your family bro.
If you miss having a bug, go get mine and drive it around awhile I got no use for it in El Paso right now.
