I would be REALLY shocked to bump into Herb on the forums after 10:00 pm. You can say whatever else you want to about Herb, but he's one of the few folks on these forums that goes to bed at bedtime and gets up going wide opened when the rooster crows.

re: bowflex

I exercise every day! I exercise my eating habits. Mountain Dew, Poptarts, Ramen noodles, and Chef Boyardee! And some times Pringles potato crisps too.

Some of you may have noticed I've been loosing a little weight lately . . . or at least toning up a bit . . . maybe you haven't noticed, but here's my secret:

I started out about two months ago with a 5 pound sack of potatoes.  I lifted that sack 5 times with each arm twice a day for a week.  Then I started adding reps . . . till I got up to 25 reps with each are 3 times a day.  Then I went to 10 pound sacks.  Then 20.  Now I'm up to 50 reps with each arm 5 times a day using the 50 pound sack.

Next week, I think I might be ready to put some of the potatoes back in the sack before I lift it.

Since my name has been used in vain here a couple of times       I have to say, I'm usually in bed by at the latest 11pm BUT I'm up between 5:30 and 6am EVERY morning. I enjoy drinking coffee and watching the sun come up. It's my quiet time, if you will. They used to ask me at work if I woke up grumpy and I always said, " No, I let her sleep"      and if anyone tells Dee, I won't get mad, but you can rest assured I WILL get even.

You late nighters should try going to bed at a decent time and getting up early. It gives you a much better outlook on life. For you youngn's out there, as you watch the sun come up you know it's going to be a good day because you ARE watching the sun come up. For those of us who have had some doubtful times as to whether or not we might not see that sight any more, you get as many of those times in as you can.

I love watching the sun come up. I just hate to miss it. This morning I looked over and said, "Damn, it's daylight already."

you assume that everyone can sleep... some of us are up late with the night owls and also up early enough to see the sun come up... i only wish i could get more than a few hours of sleep a night...

I'm not so early to rise I sleep in until 6:30. I used to get up at 4am for 12 years straight. I go 3 or 4 hrs with maybe a nap in the afternoon for an hour or less. After awhile it catches up with ya then it's a long night sleep then back to the night routine. tonight I'm cashing in early long day of working on stuff with a longer day to follow. Yall have fun!
