At last months meeting, Dale told us about the new looks VW was coming out with. He said they would be a lot more rounded and boy, was he right. That's a good looking car.

Now if VWoA would just bring over some of the VWs Europe has been privledged with, they would probable do a lot better.

Hey! Im with you Charlton. Hide that VW emblem and what do you have? Honda,Nissan,Toyota. Could you really tell? Still a nice looking car though. Like I said this morning, VW is missing the point in this country. All this fancy stuff is ok if you can afford it. VW needs to get back to basics with good entry level stuff for folks who could less about hand rubbed Ying-Yang wood hand cut from the Black Forest and plastered all over the car along with 2 inch of first generation Alpaca fuz on the floor of your V8 Touareg. At least you can turn a hose into a basic Land Rover although I would not own one on a bet.
Any of you Folks know what a VW LT is?  The ultiment van of course. Why then can we not have it here along with the fabulous Brazilian pick up truck in work trim along with the fancy crap ?
Dang It  Charlton ,You got me on my soap box again. Quit it !!!!

Yeah, VW did a great job making thier own Corolla.....  Joking aside, the new Jetta should be a great car.  The new 2.0 16V turbo engine should be a lot of fun at 200hp.   :o

Are my mother, my coworker and myself the only one that thinks this looks like a Mercedes design in the front? (I agree it's Corolla ish in the rear). Hey, lookie.. they copied the #1 selling Imports in America... you know, other compnies tried this and it worked (Think Microsoft/IBM vs Apple) ... let's pray.

However, mother has confirmed she's buying one -- in a stick (her first one).

Any word if it does infact have the i5 engine?

I saw the new Jetta V today on the interstate.  I must say it looks great in person!  I can't wait to see one up close.   8)
