air cooled junk yards in East TN?

I am looking for any junk yards (auto parts recyclers - excuse me) in the east TN. area that may have some VW's they are parting out. I am specifically looking for a few things for a 1971 Super Beetle.
Thanks for your help.

Why not check Zen's back yard, or Herb's front yard? :3dbigsmile:
Seriously, what are you looking for? There might be a few members lurking here that may have what are looking for. Or, if you don't mind traveling, there's a really really cool VW junkyard in Joppa, AL. Proprieter Alan Charles is very nice and will go out of his way to help you with what you want. Or why not do some parts-hunting with the cool kids next week at Bug-A-Paluza 4?

:thumbs-up:  It's not in east TN, but Russ is correct about the Bug Barn in Joppa, AL.  It's a great place to visit even if you don't really need anything!  Alan has somewhere around 500 air-cooled VWs in his bone yard.  I don't have Alan Charles' number handy, but he is in the band that will be playing at Bug-A-Paluza.

You need to come and check out the swap meet, and if you don't find what you need there, I'm sure Alan or one of our club members can help you out.  If you don't want to wait that long, come out to Wally's (corner of I-75 and Ringgold Rd.) in East Ridge next Monday evening.  That's where we hold our regular monthy club meetings on the third Monday of each month at 7:00pm.
