Pawn stars.  I love hate that show
I love it when they low ball a customer and the customer walks and It makes me sick when people have something worth $10K  and they settle for $2k. .  With that said,  it is nice of them when the Seller has Marilyn Monroe's Pinkie finger worth $50k and only  think its worth  $300 bucks and the  Pawn stars  don't rip them off as bad as they could.

The guy wanted 16 k for the thing but would have taken 11,  the guys offered him 5 then went up to 5500, the thing wasn't my style but very nice and worth 11 I thought

^^^^ I think that is the point most people don't understand... they have to make money, or they go out of business.... You have to pay for everything in this world, and their rent and utilities on the building are no different... I am sure they would like to have a little left over to spend at the end of the day, too....

 

God knows I know that,  but these guys also are taking stuff to a pawn shop that they could sell them selves easily on the Internet or somewhere else for good money

I think with a lot of them, it's more about trying to get on TV than trying to sell there items.  Some things might be hard a item to sell as an individual, and if you need some cash quick, it might make sense to go to a pawn shop . . . But a lot of the stuff would be easy to get rid of and get a good bit more money if they would put it on eBay or Craigslist . . . or even it put it in a yard sale.
