Good parade i agree. I wondered what the line up looked like sence i could not get there that early. I took 98 pictures combined of the parade and the cars parked at Oktoberfest. Who wants me to send them the pics so they can decide what to post and post them in the gallery. I just do not want to go through it with a computer that is giving me some problems. It was great to see every one again........Rob

Ah, Beer Chicklets.
Made it home in time to watch the news to check on the parade.
Channel 3 did a 8 sec. spot on the "fest". with no mention of the parade. Channel 9 finally came on after all the football stuff and did at least a 15 sec. spot on the "fest" and a .09 sec. shot of the parking lot. No mention of the parade. Channel 12 did about the same thing.
Didn't stay up for the late news. Did the LOCAL tv stations ever mention the parade ? It appears that our local TV stations were more interested in national news and football than what was happening in their back yard. I can almost understand the football thing but------------
Surely to goodness one of the 3 took some vidio. I saw a lot of very big serious pro. cameras along the route. Even the "fest" itselve didn't get the coverage they should have gotten. Maybe tonight.
At least Mike and brother Don got together on Channel 9
Sorry for the Rant on this fabulous day.

If anyone is interested , at 2:00 on Speed channel there will be coverage of a "Jetta Cup" race. Think they are all TDI's. That ought to be somthing to see.

I was thinking the same I saw news crews on the route but like you I noticed the same last night no mention of the cruise at all. :roll:

I didn't even think to take my camera out until just before parade started rolling. #-o Anyway, I uploaded all the pictures I made to the gallery, but when I tried to move the album to the first of the events, it disappeared. Maybe Russ can fix it . . . if not, I can always upload them again. :?

I'd like to say a special THANKS to all the folks from out of town who showed up! The Knox Volks Motor Club, Cool Breeze, and the guys and gals from around Stevenson, and all the rest of the out-of-towners really helped make this something to see . . . even if the local media didn't think that much of it.

I think the LOCAL media needs to be "chewed out" big time. I'm a little susprise at Channel-9. Channel-3 has always sucked along with Channel-12 running a close second. I think the city of Chatt. Gov. ought to be the ones that inform the TV media of doing sloppy and poor reporting. But that will never happen.

Probably would fall on parks and rec to arrange coverage. The big wigs of Chattanooga parks were at the pavillion. Yea...Not the sharpest tool in the shed but a tool non the less. :lol: Thats kinda harsh, maybe I should say organization is not their cup of tea. :oops:
