I've got a bunch of pictures from the show I'll be posting soon . . . bug I'm not sure how well they turned out. It's hard to get a good picture under the pavalion because no matter which way you aim the camera, the background is always bright. I've been going to VW shows since 1996 . . . this was, without exception, the BEST weather for any show I've been to. Sunny to partly cloudy, highs around 80, low humidity, light to moderate breezes, and cool enough to need a light jacket in the mornings when we got up to cook breakfast. If you could order weather from a catalog, this is what I would order for every show and/or campout I attend! And like Travis said, it wasn't a "big" show, but it had a little of everything and good number of high quality VWs. There weren't a lot of vendors in the swap meet, but the ones that were there had a good selection of used parts . . . I even found ASBug a pretty decent "Automatic Stickshift" emblem. Those were a one year only deal and only on the autosticks . . . so they are pretty rare. William got a bag of rocks. Ask him about it the next time you see him!
I think the only Volks Folks VW to actually enter the show this year was William's 66 Bus and he won first place in the Type 2, 67 and older class. His wife Gail picked the winning time for the engine blow and took home a cash prize!
Anyway, I'll get some pictures posted soon. For those of you that missed it, you missed a good one!
