Is the time listed on the postings on the forums supposed to be central standard time?

The time zone for the forums is GMT -5 (Eastern).

are you sure about this? I just posted a message and it says it was posted at 3:03 pm and the time is actually 4:03. Right now it is approximately 4:16 pm - but see what time is on this post.

Yes, I am sure. If your time is wrong you may have to adjust it in your member profile. Make sure it's set to Eastern (GMT -5) and select "Yes" for DST.

I can find nowhere in my member profile to adjust the time. There is just a flat map of the world with eastern time zone highlighted but you can not click on it or do anything to change it. And since it is already showing eastern time zone then wouldn't that make my post times correct? If so then it is not working cause my times are not correct. Trivial I know but it irks me. #-o

It's under Profile, and then Profile Settings. You had DST set to "no", which is why you were an hour behind.

I went ahead and fixed it for you.
