I am trying to post pictures sometimes and I can't.  Is there a rule or a process to make the pic load?  Sometimes I can load em  , other times I can't.    Does it have to be JPG /bmp/Pen and Ink/Crayon???.  Maybe its my camera, its a BBP1000 (Backstreet Boy Paparazaa 1000),  that I borrowed  from my daughter.  SC

The most common problem posting pictures directly in the forum is the size.  They can't be over either 640 X 480 or 800 X 600 pixels.  I don't remember for sure which size it is, but most all cameras on the market today default to a higher resolution than that . . . some can't even be set that low.  If you have MicroSoft Photo Editor (part of the MS Office package) you can open them with that and resize them pretty easy.  Lots of other graphic programs will do the job as well . . . but for simple stuff, Photo Editor is my favorite.

The following are the allowed image formats to be attached:
gif  jpeg  jpg  png  tga  tif

And the maximum file size is 5MB. You should be able to get just about any photo uploaded, but jpegs are going to be the most common, especially coming from cameras.

Does it give you any specific error message when you try to upload?

That's for an avatar, which is different than attaching a file to a post. Avatars have to meet certain requirements.

If you would like to just attach the picture you want to use to a post here, I can resize it for you.
