It's a "sticky note."  Unlike "normal" threads, if one of our forum adminstrators makes a thread a "sticky" it will stay at the top of the forum forever.  Normal threads drop down below new threads and return to the top only when they receive a reply.  Most threads get a few responses and then fade off into the sunset (with the exception of the infamous "slow starter" thread).

After the show is over, we'll remove the "sticky" status of the Bug-A-Paluza threads and return them to "normal" threads and they too will fade away.  They will still be there, but they will eventually be buried so deep, it'll take the search feature to find them.

Look at where it puts the "tags" . . . on the above thread you have tags to make the font larger and tags to make it red, but the "opening" and "closing" tags have nothing inbetween them.

all tags are inclosed in brackets like these [  ]  The opening tag defines where the font size, color, bold, underline, quote, etc. starts.  The closing tag defines where it ends.  It'll be like the opeing tag, but the first thing after the bracket will be / .  Let's say you want to turn one word bold.  The easiest way to do this is to type everything up normal.  Go back and highlight that one word and click the BOLD button.  This will place the opening bold tag in front of the word and closing bold tag after the word.  Another way is to add it as you go . . . click the bold button with nothing highlighted and it just puts in an opening bold tag.  From that point until you click it again, everything will be bold.  Once you click the bold button the second time it will ad the closing tag and the font will return to normal.

13 years of working 12 hour night shifts messed up my internal clock.  I've been on day shift for 13 years now and my body hasn't adjusted yet.  Now, I never sleep.   8)
