Is it me...

For the past few days, the forum has taken a long time to display the page, preview posts, open the messenger service, just to name the things I have noticed. I have a cable modem and web sites download pretty darn fast. I haven't checked my other forums to compare the speed to...I probably should. I don't think I have done anything different.
Is it just me who has noticed this?
Or is my computer a piece of junk? :O

I've noticed it but didn't want to say anything , but since you brought it up it is kinda slow

It's speed seems to vary. I've gone to it recently when it took a LOOOOONG time to load each page, but half hour later it would be back up to speed. It seems fine this morning. :cool:

Yup, it seems to vary from slow to slower...I could host it on the same site the Volks Folks site is on but that would just mean more downtime, and more headaches for Andy.

I really hope we're not paying for this though.

I'm slow myself and I have a slow computer, so I don't really mind it being slow sometimes . . . that just gives me and my computer time to catch up! :laugh:

Up until this morning I haven't noticed any problem but when I first started in it seemed slow. It has improved tremendously though since I've been into it. Maybe it's the cold weather.

There's nothing decent about the speed tonight. You folks just don't know what real bandwidth is.

I have a small idea of what it is like. My cable modem, although it is shared bandwidth, downloads pretty darn fast, usually.

Downloading is not the issue. It's the server's bandwidth that's the issue here.

Hummm . . . although it seems to speed back up at times, it IS getting slower and doing it more often. It's had a few spells where it's gotten so slow it's almost stopped!
