How are you logging out? And where do you see your name when you are logged out?

I usually hit the log out button but sometimes I just close with the x. I still see my name at the bottom of the forum page. I didn't see it this time before I logged in

Did you check "Log me on automatically with each visit"? If so you will need to explicitly log out.
