Small Die-Cast Bugs, Buses, and Ghias

« on: December 04, 2005, 04:01:43 PM »
Keep an eye out for some new VWs at Wal-Mart.  They are part of a series of 1/87th scale cars that are very detailed for their size.  Look for them in a small black box with cut-outs on the top, front and end flaps.  The cars themselves are mounted on a back base inside a clear display case.  The box is marked "Model Collection" and in hard to read dark red writing, "Malibu International LTD."  I've found Bugs in Red, Yellow and Black, 23 Window Deluxe Ragtop Buses in Red/White, Yellow/White, and Green/White, and Karmann Ghias in tan and dark green.  If I remember correctly, they are $1.46 each.

The newest ones are a green and white bus and a blue and white bus. In the bugs, you will find a red one now and a black one. I'm not sure about the newest Ghia colors.
