I figured the serious collectors had this one. It seems like I've seen it before but can't remember where. I really did not care where it came from, but I wanted it. The fact it came from the museum makes it more special to me anyway. And I did not have to go there to get it!!!

I've always wanted to find an old trailer like that and restore it.

In another post we were discussing collecting toys. Well here are some photos of some of our toys. Made good use of the space going down the stairs to the basement.

what did you hang them with on the wall??? i really need to figure out some sort of display to put mine on... i have a 10x8 shelf that is crammed full... an old entertainment center in the same shape, a night stand, a dresser, and then a few huge boxes full of vw toys... and thats just the ones i remember... then the trophies are scattered about the toys... they need a place to themselves i think... though my fav is the connecting rod bugapaluza one :)

here are a few of mine

you get the idea of the mess of them i have...

Where did you buy those rod trophys ? If somehow you could drag your butt and that copper colored "Critter" up here you might be able to "buy" one of the super trophys with the Polished Piston on top. We don't give those away for the "Best Excuse" for not coming to the show. Like "I gotta work, My co-workers will have PMS that week or whatever is the disease of that weekend will be

LOL I hear ya sir. I really don't think we could get the "polished piston" since we are a member and the car is showing some flaws that would kick us down. But I do want to get there with the "critter" so we can take a spin around the area. Maybe things will settle here soon and I can at least make a meeting or one of the cruises.

Back to the toys . . . I've found a good way to display them.  Go to Wally World and buy a bunch of plastic tubs.  Stuff 'em full of toys and stack the tubs to the roof.  When you get one stack completed, start another.  When you fill the room, move to another room.  That way you can take advantage of every cubic inch of space.  If you try to display them buy hanging on the wall or stacking them on shelves, you only take advantage of 2 dimensions of the room.

Makes note of Zens display method!!!! Lets see if I use the area of the basement on one side, it is about 16 X 35 in one section by 8 foot high. If each tub is 4 foot long by 1.5 foot wide by 1.5 foot high. Now to put the "Jethro" effect into use. Naught X Naught = ??? Now how many tubs do I need to buy :?:  :?:  :?:
