New Johnny Lightning - Beetles

« on: May 04, 2004, 09:43:27 PM »
I just got back from Wally World where I found a Johnny Lightning 1:18 scale red 63 Beetle AND a black with flames 1:18 scale Beetle. Both of these cars are awsome. The black one has what looks like BRM wheels with oversize tires. They are $20.00 each.

After the ball game today (Go Vols!) I went to the Kimbal Wal-Mart. Looking through the toy cars I found no Volkswagens what-so-ever. Going down some other isles I noticed they had toy stock up on the top shelf along the outer wall stretching back into the hardware section. I had been from one end to the other and was working my way back to the front again when I spied a 1:18 Johnny Lighting Herbie Goes Bananas (the Rusty Herbie) stuck in the back and under all the other toys cars! It was the only one there. Just goes to show you that just because you don't see it on the front of the stack of cars doesn't mean it isn't there - Dig Deeper!   8)

Yep! $19 bucks but I didn't think I'd come across one again anytime soon so I bought it! :D

I've got one of the small ones but haven't even seen one of the 1/18th scale Herbies with the mud and rust on it. How about bringing it to the meeting tonight? :D
