I was excited today! I stopped in at a Hobby Store in East Ridge and the guy had several HO scale Volkswagens. They are the kind used on HO scale train set layouts. They are made of plastic. I got two Ghia's, one panel bus and one convertible beetle with a tear drop pull-behind camper. Maybe I should get into trains again and make all the cars in the layout Volkswagens

I got two of the single ones, but haven't splurged for the one that is in the set yet.

I'll keep an eye out for those at my local Bi-Lo.  They had an Easter set out a couple of years ago that had a new Beetle in it and the tube made a bank after you removed the cars.  After Easter they had them on sale for 50% or 60% off.  I bought all of them they had left.  I bet if I had ask for it, I could have gotten the big cardboard display they were in too . . . but I didn't think about it til later.
