Herbie herbie herbie

« on: September 12, 2005, 10:06:38 PM »
Ok I can not find any of this stuff I keep just missing it. If anybody can pickup a herbie classic 1:18 or the smaller herbies without a problem ,please do I'll repay the purchase amount+ gas. I just can't pay collector prices for a toy that is new. It's killing me. I bought 6 1967 bugs 1:18 scale from e-bay last week. I'm sick.

Oh my God !!  Our new Guy is in to VW toys. Scott , We are going to sit down and have a long talk. Our main man,Zen is on the verge of being sent off to the "home" for VW toy junkies  and then theres Herb.
Herb has a room that holds more VW toys, I think, Than Wolfsburg produced of the real thing in the last 10 years. They both are in the need for some serious counseling. When both of them start running around naked at BP-8 with " Honk if you love Bug and Westy Toys" tatooed on their Butts, They will be commited on the spot. My sympathy goes out to the wives of these two poor souls.

My neighbor has a white one sitting in the woods rotting away. From the road it doesn't look bad.He has one he keeps under a open shed and one parked in the woods. The one in the woods will just rot away I guess. I never asked him about it.

 Hi!! My name is Moe and I am a "VW Toyaholic" I contracted the disease in the late 90's.  My better half ( really ) will not often let me tread the aisles of Wal Mart, K Mart, Sams Club, Target, Walgreens, or other stores alone.  I am often times diverted, by force if necessary from the aisles that contain any type of "model toy". I did manage to sneak in the other morning when in a moment of forgetfulness she called me and asked me to stop at Wal Mart on the way home from work  for some "grocery" items. I was FREE. Totally Free to roam the toy section. I scored big time. I had been trying to get the latest "Maiesto G Rides" and the VW fairy had just run I guess. I got 2 of the 64 Notch and 2 of the Chopped 66 Bugs. All different colors. I was so happy. But that ended upon emptying the bags on the kitchen counter and getting "the look". I hastily removed myself from her presence and tucked myself into the bed to sleep.  8)  8)

Well guys there is new one out there to be on the lookout for.  His name is Fillmore-A van of peace who stars in the new Disney movie "Cars".  We picked up the last one up at a Target in Atlanta this weekend.  They were sold out at Target in Hixson when we looked a couple of weeks ago.  Let the search begin... :)

67 bugnut what city do you live in?Tenn? Tell me a little more about what you want.We have a flea market close by and they sell mostly new things.I bet they may have some things you want. We go to it from time to time because my wife is a crafter and picks up things there all the time.If I know more about it then I will look next time. 8)

its actually grown much larger than what's posted on the site but most are in storage but coming soon.  I sell a toy guide that I put together for my list of toys with pictures pricing etc. http://www.buggybay.com/cgi-bin/auction.pl?item=21148101444  will also trade the guide for toys if anyone is interested.   I can stop at any time (looking for the notchbacks that are new out, if anyone has any for sale)
