Cheap Batteries for 1/6 Herbies and Buses

« on: July 09, 2006, 01:20:52 AM »
If you've got one of the 1/6 scale Herbie Fully Loaded Herbies or Buses, or any New Bright brand remote control that uses 9.6 Volt batteries, here's your chance to stock up on extra batteries.  The LaFayette Wally World has a dozen or so "West Coast Choppers" 9.6 Volt batteries on the clearance rack.  I picked up two a couple of months ago in Dalton for $7 (they only had the two that I got).  I've used them several times in my 1/6 scale Herbie . . . they work just fine.  They will charge up with the charger that came with your Herbie.  Anyway . . . they are only $5!  Get 'em while you can!  (Let me know if you want me to pick any up for you, and long as their stock and my collection of $5 bills hold out, I'll be happy to pick them up for you.

I hear he is fresh out of the Herbies, but he has some buses he would sell.

Actually, sometime in the next few months I'm going to have to sale a whole bunch of VW toys.  Now that we don't have 5 kids and my mother-in-law in the house, we are downsizing . . . our house is something like 4000+ square feet and we are in the process of buying a log cabin that is somewhere around 1300 square feet.

The "good" news is, I'm going from a small corner lot in the city to 3 acres in the country.  My focus may soon turn from toys back to the "real thing."

We had the closing today.  Went to the cabin and look around again this afternoon.  Came home and walked upstairs and look around at all the tubs of toys.  Being an experianced pack rat, I can usually figure how to pack stuff tight.  I can usually make twice as much fit in a small space as the average person can.  I'm usually optimistic.  The cold hard fact is, if I don't put any furniture or appliances in the cabin, all my toys still won't fit.   :?

Sooooooooo . . . The sale will start very soon.  I need money and less stuff . . . There will be lots of bargins to be had by all . . .
