autostick shift

Does anyone know what years did the auto sticks have it on the engine cover? This is on my 68 (the first year they made the auto stick) beetle.

You got it, it was a one year only item.
I have one mounted on my nose of my '72 but it isn't OEM.
If you look at my postings, you'll see the sticker that the '69 - '76 beetles had.
I have a complete '68 AS set up if you need any parts.
I bought it as a spare set for the ASBug and haven't needed any thing.

Yep, 68 only on the Automatic Stickshift script. The 68 Autosticks were also the first bugs with cv axles (IRS) . . . 68 manuals were swing axle.  Speaking of 68 Automatic Stickshifts, I've got a pretty decent one sitting in my back yard that I need to put back on the road.   8)
