Ok I have some pretty good military training and am willing to do vile things for one of these for my kid. Just kidding about the vile things but I will pay a fair price for one. Not ebay prices but cost plus expenses for one?
Please somebody help me or my kid will drive me freakin nuts!

I saw a couple of the 1/18th black Herbies in the RC section at the Walmart in Cleveland off of the Cleveland-Dalton Hwy yesterday. There was a 1/18th orange and white bus there also.

I just happened to have a 1/6 scale Herbie (an "extra" one) riding around in the back of Homer the SuperBus. I've also got of couple of "extra" 1/6 scale split window buses stacked up in the hallway near my back door. I can't find any room to put them anywhere else. All the kids but one have moved out . . . I've only got 5 empty bedrooms to store toys in. I have a small yard, so building a toy museum out back isn't an option. Soooooooo . . . I might be convinced to sell one or two of these HUGE VW toys . . . but only to make room for lots of smaller stuff.

I think all of the Buses are 49 MHz and the Herbies are 27 MHz . . . so if you want to play with two at once, you have to get a Herbie and a Bus . . . or two of each and switch chassis with one of the Herbies and one of the Buses. Then you could mix and match 'em anyway you wanted to. Maybe that's why I bought so many of these. I've spent more on RC VWs in the last 4 months than I spent on my last engine rebuild for Homer. A LOT more. Got out for under $200 on the engine . . . and somehow I've ended up with five 1/6 scale VWs . . . and two or three of the 1/18th scale . . . and three of the little (1/43 ? scale) zip-zap Herbies from Radio Shack. I think I'm getting better though. There was a white street racer Herbie, a black street racer Herbie and an orange and white Bus in the 1/18th scale RC cars at Wal-Mart the other day and I didn't even pick them up and look 'em over good. Left 'em sitting on the shelf where I found them. Didn't even hide 'em for later!
I'm not really "cured" . . . just broke!

I'll bring Herbie Friday . . . and yes, I'll fix you up with keys Friday. If possible, I'll rekey your lock on site as well.
