The engine is a lot quieter with out the wrrring altenator noises.   The Engine idles  very smoothly now. (the RPM gauge actually  goes to zero at stop signs)

I need to figure out how fake out the dash lights  that are informing me that my electrical system is not working.  Those powerful LED's are  wasting the finite resources of the power cell.  SC

Assuming a 5 watt total power consumption @ 12 volts (which you no longer really have), the L.E.D. is consuming .41667 amps of power.

If you really want to reduce consumption you need to ditch the high level consumers like the electric fuel pump, the radio, the power windows, the interior fan, the rear window defroster, the windshield wipers, the headlights, the tail lights, the turn signals, the brake lights, the ABS, etc.

Or you could try to get your hands on one of these:

The third generation prototype is "supposed" to go into limited production next year.  Then again, the world is "supposed" to end on December 21st.  If I had to bet on one of them happening, I'm putting my money on the Myan calendar being right.  I just don't see 'em putting a car into production that gets over 300 mpg.  The technology is there.  The demand is there.  But somehow it seems that ALL car companies are bragging about getting 40 mpg.

Better yet, trade the Camry for one of these:

http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/noframes/5263.shtml

It's a soda can with an engine but it gets great fuel mileage.  Plus you can drive it at night with the headlights on since it does it all with a functional alternator.

I love CRXes. Never had a Honda, but if I did, I'd probably pick one of these.

Something like that!  Well, like my Uncle Bobby always says about flats . . . "Don't worry about it. It's only flat on the bottom."

Sweet batmobile.  OD solinoid has 2 bolts.  I broke one off .  the other is so rounded I had to undo the tranny mounts drop it a few inches and use my trusty vicegrips.   It came off un broken.  Haaaa RAw! Now I need to figure out how to make a channel in the OD switch so it is always on.  SC
