Opps .  meant to tell a story.  I see

this Baloo statue on craigslist.  And I

wanted it.  Bad!     Some Grandma beat

me to it.  I was bummed out.   But the

Jungle book Gods favored me.  I texted

the guy and he said.  " Baloo was still

there waiting for Me!".   Its the

middle of the week and  I'm working and

doing important stuff.  BOOM!.  I get

my chance to score the  Jungle Book

Bear  Thursday evening.    I take

Margaret and her Mom  out to get "My

Bear" .   Turns out Baloo  was only

half a bear and the rest was tree

stump. 500+ lbs of wood. You would

think an exhausted teacher and and a

Grandma could help load Baloo in the

van,  but no.  Jeez...   Crest fallen,

I scamper on home and text the guy.

"Can you cut ole Baloo off the stump".

He says "sure".   "Yippee"  I squeal in

delight.   Saturday and I'm at

Pearsonality  Chainsaw carving,  Seems

he is  giving  his older carvings that

are little worse for wear to good

homes. There was a lot other great

carvings but  I am more of the worse

for wear wood carving collector.  We,

(I mean he) cuts Baloo of the  base and

he gives me these other cool bear

totems and things. We have a good time

talking.. I show off the super Volvo.

...Which he thinks is cool...   So

there you have it.   Great Day for  Me

and Baloo.  Mike   8-18-12

Update on new rims and tires.  They don't fit in the front.  Son OF a Bisquit!.  Maybe I can get some spacers for the lug bolts?  IS that something anyone has heard of.  SC

Did not someone tell you about this awhile back ?  I have heard about spacers. I think it was a wrecker service and a Paramedic  that told me.  Its your coal truck. ;D

My Baja had 1" spacers on the fronts to keep the NDTs from rubbing. I only had one wheel fall off and that was on the back with no spacers. Lots of people use spacers, lots of people would never consider it. I would be cautious on a vehicle I drive pretty often. The Baja was MY coal truck, but I rarely drove it and if I did, it wasn't far.

Spacers are just fine if you use correct built ones,  the off road guys run them all the time with no problem, you bolt them to the hub then bolt you wheel to them,  they will prob cost more than you have In the rim

The ones I had were just 1" thick pieces of aluminum with holes drilled. I had to find longer bolts but it worked

I have 10mm spacers on the rear wheels of the Audi to push the wheel out slightly, so they don't "tuck" as much since it's lowered.

Volvos have studs with lug nuts. They don't have a lot of extra length .

That's gonna make spacers difficult if not impossible then. On VW/Audi, all you gotta do is get longer lug bolts.

I was thinking of adapters, a lot of times that is what you need to put different wheels

Eh, I already had you beat on the solar panel.

Maybe... but your solar panel hasn't been expertly installed with bungee cords and tape...

Jealous....
