windows hard to roll up after new scrapers installed

« on: October 25, 2004, 06:28:10 PM »
Is this normal? it took me rolling the windows up and someone else pushing up on the glass to get the windows to roll up.. Is there a powder, silcone, something to put on the scrapers so it's easier to roll up?
Thanks
Ron

Ron, did you clean and lube your regulators real good before re-installing?  That, more often than not is the problem. As for lube on the scraper, I don't know if I would put some WD-40 on that or not. :?:

Thanks Herb,
The windows seemed to roll up & down decently before. Seems like after installing the news inner & outer scrapers the rubber really grips the window. Can't remember if I read or heard of someone to putting graphite on the rubber to help the window slide. Probably wouldn't hurt to still lube the regulators.

Maybe some Armorall would help.  It probably would, but . . . would it steak up the glass?
