OK,
Yesterday, I pulled the valve covers and checked every thing out. #1 valves both tight. #3 valves loose, slightly. Then I noted that the exhaust stud on #2 was mising a nut and the other was about off. I put it all back to snuff and it'll idle w/o having the large screw out all the way on the carb. I have it almost right and it is driving alot better. It still wanted to try to stalled out on the way home today, that was after I had just sat throught 2 redlights and I eased into the pedal instead of flooring it.
The fuel pump has had to remain since I ordered another from Advance and it looked identical to the other.
I'm going to try to get one from Lamar in Dalton this week and take the other back.
If this doesn't cure the problem, I am going to take the 34 PICT 3 BOCRAP carb that it came with, an dput it in my clay pigeon slinger and send it into orbit.
Does any one other than ZEN run the 30-31 with adapter on a Dual Port engine?
Reccomendations and concerns from the peanut gallery would be appreciated.
