They do run forever, leaking and valve clacking and no power making the whole time.

After you get done buying the trans adapter and clutch, building the complete cooling system and engine mounting system, the complete exhaust system modifying the wiring harness and getting a engine managment setup of some sort not to mention the 1000 hours of fitting and modifying everything you just made or bought, you would be way better off planning to start the project with the engine you will be sticking with otherwise half of what you buy or build will end up in the trash heap. I only know cause I've lived it.

None of that even takes into consideration that a major engine type swap will destroy the value of the vehicle unless is it a super clean and efficient swap. Just food for thought, I love engine swaps myself but I have seen more bad than good come from them unless they are very well planned.
