FeeBee died on the way home yesterday on Mission Ridge road during rush 8 hour traffic....After she sat for a few minutes I was able to get started and go about 30 feet. Looked at the fuel filter and there was gas bubbling up in it. What do you think?

How do I fix that? There is a vacuum hose that runs from the breather to IDk what it's called it's to the right of the breather and we connected that vacuum hose to it. You know what I am talking about? It ran fine without that hose for many years but we put it on Saturday.

What do you mean  "IDk" ?    When you say "breather" are you talking about the air cleaner or the little hole right by the oil filler cap ?   Has anybody  been messing with the Ing. timing ?

Yes the air cleaner and the hole by the filler cap   we put a vacuum hose there. And no one has messed with the timing

The hose should go from the air cleaner to the little hole by the filler cap. Make sure that it is not blocked or pinched off. It shouldn't have anything to do with the engine shutting off though.   Also make sure the engine compartment insulation or a rag or something hasn't gotten into the cooling fan and blocked the air off causing the engine to overheat and vapor lock.  DO NOT stick your hand back there anywhere close to the fan with the engine running.  You will get a manicure from hell.   You could have a fuel pump that is trying to fail.
I take it that you have a new fuel tank ?  Make sure it is vented or the fuel pump will have a very hard time sucking gas back to the engine.
Remember you are down there and I'm up here so I am just throwing "stuff" at you to check. It maybe could none of the above.
Is the car running now ?

No she's not running now...She will however run 20 feet then die. Justin is coming by the house tonight to take a lookie. If you think I can't describe a engine problem imagine me giving directions  Anyway yes we did get a new gas tank. I'm close to another breakdown 4 baby squirrels all nursing every three hours and FeeBee on MR road. Good thing I am sane

OK Tell Justin to take the fuel hose off of the carb and hold the line in some kind of container and you turn/start the engine and see if you have gas pumping out of the hose into the container .  If so I think the problem might , I said might be trash or a bad needle and seat in the carb.   The pump should pump a good bit of gas pretty quit ,so be prepare to turn off engine when Justin starts hollering.  He should be able to do this.  I have seen a lot of needle and seats even in new carbs and even overhaul kits right out of the box be bad here lately. Good Parts are getting really hard to find. Keep me posted.

My vote is for trash in the carb or gas tank vaccume.
You should have seen how ORANGE the gas was that was comming out of that tank with minute rust particles...
David I have the Empi 34 Pict3 that she had on for VERY FEW miles and it had at least 1/16" of fine rust in the bowl.

Good luck Virgo62.

How about a faulty new gas tank...Yep the tank had the hole at the bottom welded almost shut so only a trickle of gas was getting through. While Rick was towing her up the driveway with the 4 wheeler the tow line broke and Feebee took off backwards heading to the woods. Rick was able to jump from the 4 wheeler and stop her just in time :) Man we are lucky people

Well there you go. Don't you just love these new wonderful parts. Thats a new one on me.  Thank goodness Richard got it stopped.  I wonder if the thought ran through his head to let FeeBee find that 100 foot deep Sinkhole on her trip through the woods.  Richard sure is good to you. I guess you will just to keep him around
