Has anyone installed turtle lights (rear lights) on a Bug (73)
they come with no instructions and don't plug in same as original.
The are RCD inovox made in brazil.
I've tried all sorts of combos with the wires and can't get them to work properly.

You are correct on 4 bulb set up . Its been awhile.  I belive all your bulbs in the original tail are single filiment ?   On your new lights ,Is one of the bulbs a double filiment ? if so ,It would be the running tail light plus stoplight wired like a 70 model. Im' sitting here racking my brain trying to remember the color codes. Brown is always Ground !!. As long as you don't have the brown wire hooked to the hot side of something other than the metal (?) housing you should be able to plug any wire to any blub holder and something should light up. You could get a buddy to turn on things, mash the brakes , turn sigs, Rev light (with the switch on) and find out what wire does what with a test light.

I have 3 sets of inovox dome  tail lights
they are easy to wire and look great. I am looking for replacement lenses tho- I cracked one. I cannot find the source here in Michigan.

the ground is on the cross bar, each light has it's own  spade terminal. You can buy a grommet for the back at most hardware stores. Be sure to silicone it real good or it will short in no time.

I'm not really in to signing up on forums just to see a pic :( I'll just assume they're something cool and different
