Tire size recomendation

« on: April 01, 2007, 02:34:55 PM »
Can anyone tell me a good size tire for a 7 inch rim mounted on the rear of a swing arm bug? I was thinking 195/60/15 not sure if that will fit on a 7in rim. The rim has the same front spacing as a 5 in rim all the extra 2 inches are towards the back.

If your buying your tires from a local tire store and they will be mounting them, ask them for sizes and fit. That way if they don't fit they have to dismount the tires at no charge. And remount the next size at no extra cost. In other words, Let them be responsible for wrong judgement.
Plus if the tires don't look right you can always see the fit and still change your mind as to the size!!!

I think the perfect tire for you would be the tires on the rear of that $250 rail job that VWGirl posted the other day      Then you could raid the Triangle with confidence. :thumbs-up: What do you think ?

For anyone who ever tries it. 195/65/15 works on a 7in rim on back.I put 145/65/15 on front. Both sizes are avilable from Tire Rack .com in Continentals. Took 2 days to get them and paid less than $300 shipped.
