Smelly you need to bring a camcorder, notebook, take pictures whatever it takes for stupies sake.

  That's a great idea . . . not just for SC, but for everyone . . . somebody needs to video some of these tech sessions and post them on our web site.  I can see it now, "Grasshopper's Air-Cooled Tech Talks" -- If 'The Idiot Book' is over your head, let Grasshopper cut away the confusion and reveal the secrets of the air-cooled VW engine!   8)

A funny song about what a scotsman wears under the kilt I heard one time.

I priced a kilt once,  it was like 400 bucks.   ALot of fabric and pleats.

I'll wear a Kilt.  and paint Stupie plaid too.

I some how got the valves set.  something about line up the mark on the dist or something.   all I had was a .008 feeler gauge,  Seems like 1 and 2 cyl were righty tightey so a loossey tooseied them.   Much stronger running.  but i was cutting out at high rpm's,  kept getting worsse and worse.  them I conked out.  ran out of gas.  I need to get the gauge fixed.  I don't think I had bad gas.. I had evaporated gas.   sc

The Scotsman
Listen: LoFi | Download | Send E-Card | Chords
From: A Faire To Remember

words and music by Mike Cross

Well a Scotsman clad in kilt left a bar on evening fair
And one could tell by how we walked that he drunk more than his share
He fumbled round until he could no longer keep his feet
Then he stumbled off into the grass to sleep beside the street
Ring ding diddle diddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh
He stumbled off into the grass to sleep beside the street

About that time two young and lovely girls just happend by
And one says to the other with a twinkle in her eye
See yon sleeping Scotsman so strong and handsome built
I wonder if it's true what they don't wear beneath the kilt
Ring ding diddle diddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh
I wonder if it's true what they don't wear beneath the kilt

They crept up on that sleeping Scotsman quiet as could be
Lifted up his kilt about an inch so they could see
And there behold, for them to see, beneath his Scottish skirt
Was nothing more than God had graced him with upon his birth
Ring ding diddle diddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh
Was nothing more than God had graced him with upon his birth

They marveled for a moment, then one said we must be gone
Let's leave a present for our friend, before we move along
As a gift they left a blue silk ribbon, tied into a bow
Around the bonnie star, the Scots kilt did lift and show
Ring ding diddle diddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh
Around the bonnie star, the Scots kilt did lift and show

Now the Scotsman woke to nature's call and stumbled towards a tree
Behind a bush, he lift his kilt and gawks at what he sees
And in a startled voice he says to what's before his eyes.
O lad I don't know where you been but I see you won first prize
Ring ding diddle diddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh
O lad I don't know where you been but I see you won first prize

 And I thought I was the only Mike Cross fan in the "triangle"!    Have you heard "The Great Strip Poker Massacre", "Directions", "The Lord Will Provide" or "I Don't Know Who Threw the Liquor In the Well (but I think I know who found it)" ?

Zen,  I only new that one.  I will look this guy up.  funny stuff.

I had a big decision today.  wax stupie or spray paint stupie.  I had a half can of red spray  and a quarter can of red paint.  so I waxed stupie poeticly

Stupie still looked bad after waxing.  just shiner.  so I sprayed the rest of the spray paint over the bad parts.  That looked worse.  Perfect.  We are ready for Bugapollza.  Sc

whew.    Stupies runs like carp.   I made it to Bug11,  revin and dreadin stop signs and lights.  I got power when I mash the pedal... running steady down the hyway,,  cough splutter..jerk .      I went half way home and finnaly got sick of it.

I managed to get to and park at autozone.  bought beer.  then got some carb spray.   blasted half a can.  it was boiling in the manifold.  Is that normal? Stupie ran ok .. better.   not great  but better.  whats up????   SC

Are you sure he ran better or did the beer make it so you didn't care?
 :D
Any way thanks for the slot cars, that was a great follow up to last years train set!
It sounds like a leaking float seal or a high fuel pressure situation.  Have you replaced a fuel pump lately?
Take care,
KC :D
