rat smell

any one have tips on getting the rat smell out of a car that has been sitting, found 2 dead rats under the wiper area,  and the interior smells pretty ripe too

   I don't have any "Rat-be-Gone spray just some "Bus-be-Gone spray.  Have you tried any "Chinese Whore House" spray?  That stuff doesn't get rid of anything, but you don't give a crap anymore ;D ;D

My daughter had a BIG rat get into the blower housing on her Buick Century a few years ago.  It had apparently been in there for a while getting ripe and then she turned on the fan one day . . . :o  I must have taken me 2 hours to remove the 8 bolts and pull the fan out of the firewall.  I couldn't say near the car longer than I could hold my breath.  After we got the remains out of the fan housing I washed out the housing with soap and water, then soaked the entire interior and all the duct work with Lysol spray.  After the Lysol smell cleared out a day or so later, everything was fine.

i hosed the car down with lysol, we will see if that works
