Are you talking about the fuel pump push rod in the case or you just can not move the fuel pump lever in the pump. Some of the pumps can be a "bear" to move. Does it pump when the engine is running ? Is this the same pump you have been running ?
I might go $350 if you get a little madder

Sorry price just went up! Had to do a little reading in the manual. It's working fine. Now it just needs a tune up.Any tips for setting the valves?
Weird thing the car spit water at me! Must have got some in the exhaust when it was off the car.

yep I'm getting good at finding TDC.Found that funny sound it's an exhaust leak. Ive got a stipped stud bolt or rather the casing is stripped. I gotta figure a way to fix that, then I'll get with you about the valves.
I'm readin the book it seems pretty straight forward forchecking the clearance on the valves. To bad I didn't do it when it was on a table. :tard:

Stud bolt ?  Casing ?   Are you saying exhaust port stud in the cly. head ?   To bad you didn't find that before you installed the engine. Don't let your valve adj. slip by . If you have had the rocker arms off you can bet the valve adjustment is off. You don't want to burn those puppys up in case a few of them are tight. :(

I checked five different cases and the tubes were  sticking out of the case about  1 1/2 inch give or take a  1/16.

Yep a stud bolt in the casing was stripped,I gotta do a better job going over it all next time. I retapped it and it seems fine for now. I do still need the D.S. tube,I'll give you a call tommorrow if thats ok? I adjusted the valves but the seem to rattle a little not sure if they did before couldn't hear them over my ratty exhaust. i still have to recheck my timing and adjust the carb. Then I have to get a tin for the bottom end and it will be on the road.
Thanks.
