Man !! Thats a rough looking set of inserts.  What in the world are those shafts sticking out the bottom of the inserts ?  Did the shafts knock the bottom out of them ?

Aaron, Save the old inserts.  I want to look at them. There is something really weird about them. I am just curious
Has anybody out there ever seen anything like these inserts ?

Hello everyone once again, wow I just now got them urathane bushings for the sway bar ends, wow that was hard to do. They give you "grease" to do it with, there is no way that is grease, that crap is sticky. Anyway I got it all together and hopefully I just need a front end alignment and probley new wheels. I can deal with a little bump but can't deal with the broken strut syndrome. LOL.. Thanks everyone for your help again, you all saved me!!!!!!!!!

super bee I have a sway bar but never could get it on my car. Those red bushings never would go on right for me.I think the bar is bent or something. Someone gave it to me. Maybe that's why.I had it on there once but it was ready just to pop off.I gave up.I'm already going bald on top.I did want it to get worse.I just put it back up in a box I call can't get it to work box.Where it cost's more to send it back than it does just to keep it lol.

65,

I am by no stretch a mechanic, but the bushings for the sway bar through the track arms are a butt to get in, you have to push the sway bar with one hand and pull with the other and find a 3rd hand to put the washer and the nut on there, it will only start one  thread so u have to rachet it on there, anyway i would say the sway bar isn't bent because after i put the new bushings on the trac arms i had to jack the sway bar up to get it to go up, I couldn't push it, and before I could. That just means the bushings are good ang tight, try it and I can take a pic of how mine is in there and maybe that will help you ok? Let me know if I can help...

Superbee,  nice jackstands.  I may need to see if my neighbors have some I can borrow.   If I could get my camera to take low res pictures I would show off my shocks.  In the fenders there is innertube stems and it appears that little black lines direct air to the shocks.  I have no idea if they work or not.  It figures that an air cooled engine needs air cooled shocks,   Good work cleaning and painting the under side and the drums and stuff.  i never thought of doing that.  I always treat the drums and floorpans as a set of fruit of the looms.  If know ones gona see em why bother an clean em.   SC

Smelly, I only done that to give it a clean look, I mean if u are looking at a car and u can see the dull orange paint under neathe it then I think it looks bad, but if u clean and paint that area then you are left with a black sort of less than an eye sore ya know? I got them jack stands cheap at auto zone, if I had another pair i would let ya borrow them. Take care

You have to go back to the very begining of the "Slow Starter " thread. Smelly Cat  is to blame for all of this    Zen lives in the Triangle, Jason lives close by. The Triangle is a area around LaFayette Ga. thats not unlike the Bemuda Triangle. Some very strange and dangerous things happen there. I guess I'm at fault for calling it the Triangle. We got a little carried away with it and it was and still is a lot of fun jumping on Smelly Cat and anybody who lives around there. You just have to read ALL the post to belive it then you will understand. You go there at your own risk
