Wife has a 73 Bug that needs some attention. Now that Lockharts is no longer where or who works on VW's.
PS She won't let me touch it!

What needs to be done? There are several on this site who might be willing to take to task what needs to be done...myself included.

Like Gobus said, There are several folks here that can help you out. I worked for Jim Lockhart the last 5 years of my VW Career. Do I know you? Wifes name? What kind of problems ?
